Very beautiful! After seeing THE ARRIVAL I bought all of your books, and they are all wonderful! THE RULES OF SUMMER is my favorite, your work more intense and poetic. Thanks for everything, Shaun! I would be honored if you could take a look at my work: https://www.behance.net/lucastorero
Thank you very much, Shaun! And if you had a little bit of wasted time you are invited to see my short experiments in animation and music: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XC88QvaM9As https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l1h9SrFk1eI https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HMt4eaulyHo https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g0BkOPtTNZM https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mxq8xquaMQ4 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IDxFA_7A5es https://youtu.be/kPjvCQMOeYE
Probably some time before I get back to Mexico (last there in 2009), alas, not easy to travel so much these days. The cat story appeared in a very small Australian anthology called 'rich and rare' which would be hard to get in Mexico, although I'm hoping to publish it one day in a collection or something which may then be accessible. The story is not much like the picture in any case (it's about a single mother who adopts a stray cat): ie. the picture is kind of it's own story, so you aren't missing anything, certainly no explanation!
I have been a fan for decades and I could never explain in words what your art means to me. It has mesmerized me and held me captive even when I needed to be doing something else. It has taken me out of where I was more times than I wanted it to. Whenever I wanted to get lost I knew where to go. Thank you.
