  1. This is depressing, which is, I guess, what a tree would feel if it's bird did die. It's very beautiful, of course. Just sad.

  2. Something like that; it helps to know the tree is in full bloom with camellias, hard to see in a jpg like this.

  3. I don't know much about plants so I had to google that. Interesting. I didn't know camellias bloomed even in winter. They must be a great hit with birds. It is hard to discern what kind of flowers the tree has due to the size, but I like how the flowers just grace the darkness with a bit of color. It's the first time I've seen a dark element in a painting actually draw my eyes towards it.
