Bad kid, brush-pen, 2011

  1. Hi Shaun,

First of all, I should say that I’ve read your website FAQs, and it doesn’t sound like you have a lot of time to conduct interviews: I completely understand if your answer is a straight-up ‘no’ — no hard feelings, but you’ve got to ask, right? So here goes. Along with a couple of colleagues, I’m editing an issue of an academic journal on comics and migration and identity, and we’re looking to base the issue around an interview with a graphic narrative artist in the field; we’d love it if you’d be interested in being interviewed. Does it sound like something you’d be interested in? (If so, brilliant. If not, well, as I said — totally understandable.)

    Cheers,

    Sam

    1. Hi Sam, I don't do as many interviews as I'd like (hence all the FAQs and other online resources), so apologies in advance if I can't. But I'll get in touch with you anyway to see if some contribution is possible.

  3. Yes, very much based on some childhood experience, where the 'bad kid' always seemed so much more fundamentally bad than he probably was, but only made worse by prejudice and ostracism.

  5. Thank you for answering !!!! In Argentina some of his books are part of the libraries that sends the government schools. My thesis is concerned with promoting the image reading and creative writing from the album, especially in very poor schools. I admire immensely. Gabriela.
