  1. Hello, Mr. Tan :)

First of all, I'm a big fan of your work and it's been inspiring for me since I first laid eyes on the brazilian edition of Tales from Outer Suburbia – and it has just been a growing admiration since. I'm deeply glad that you are one great artist that is being recognized for his work.

So, I'm a graduate Design student in Brazil and the research project for my master's degree is based on your on-going ouvre, mostly your gorgeous and profound picturebooks. I'm having quite some trouble on your early work, though, as I'd like to trace back your artistic style to as before as I can.

I wonder if it would be much of a trouble to you to post up some of your older works, especially from before the 2000s and maybe comment a bit on them. I'm going through your blog posts right now and I found some works you posted on November, 2014, and you do comment about some of them! If there's anything else you could say about your history and how you've been thinking your work, I'd be very glad!

I'm sorry if this sounds much too preposterous to ask this! And thank you for your inspiring work!

    1. Hi Eduardo, that's a very good request, no problem. Let me see what I have and I'll post some examples for you of early book and freelance work in a week or so.
